There are many Scottish residents
who are still unaware of the Scothedge Campaign to secure legislation to deal
with high hedge grower inconsideration. Every newspaper or television coverage
of the misery and expense forced on innocent neighbours by legally immune hedge
growers helps to let the small number of irresponsible high hedge tyrants know
that their behaviour is anti-social and that they will be treated accordingly
by statutory arbitration and stiff fines if they do not comply with remedial
requirements.
Minister for Community
Safety, Fergus Ewing will decide before the end of 2008 the most appropriate
means to bring to an end the unaccountability of problem hedge and tree
owners.

Formed in 1998, Hedgeline(www.hedgeline.org) is a large lobby and
support group with over 4,000 members throughout the U.K. The Scottish Branch,
Scothedge, was formed to lobby the devolved Holyrood Parliament in order to
gain legislation to overcome the unfair power of high hedge owners to ignore
the impact of their excessive hedges upon neighbours.
Scothedge provides members
with comprehensive advice and information drawing upon the practical experience
of thousands of hedge victims.
